Artist Bio
Sculpture and Mixed Media
Sky was born and raised in Fairbanks Alaska, where she and her family spent a large portion of their time hunting, fishing, gathering, and growing their own food. This fostered a deep connection with and respect for the environment and wildlife around her. This is reflected in her art through the use of animal forms and a focus on the importance of spirituality and cultural history. By applying traditional skills such as skin sewing with unconventional or recycled materials she explores and develops her own spiritual practice through the act of making. Sky earned her Bachelors of Art at Dartmouth College in 2018, and finished her Masters in Native Arts at UAF in 2024.
